Urban Agriculture Definition & Production Tips

Urban agriculture includes cultivating, processing and distributing agricultural products in urban and suburban areas. The scope of urban agriculture includes community gardens, large-scale farms or orchards that produce vegetables, fruit, herbs and spices for the market. This workshop will provide information on the production of crops for cultivation. Mr. Tyrone Cherry, an urban agriculture producer, will discuss the basics of crop production. He will discuss the importance of soil sampling, fertilization, harvesting and marketing produce.
