4-H Intermediate Congress
4-H Intermediate Congress is designed for youth who are interested in becoming leaders in 4-H. Through fun, innovative, engaging and interactive sessions, youth will enhance their ability to serve in local, district, state and national 4-H leadership roles.
The mission of 4-H Intermediate Congress is to provide non-competitive educational experiences to youth ages 11-13 and the adults who work with them, helping them to develop life skills, and leadership abilities to become contributing citizens in their communities
4-H is the comprehensive youth development program of Virginia Cooperative Extension. Young people from ages 5 to 18 engage in hands-on learning experiences under the guidance of 4-H agents and trained adult or teen 4-H volunteers.
Kids' Tech university
Kids' Tech University (KTU) strives to help create the future workforce in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) by sparking kids' interest in these fields through interactive education and hands-on activities.
Marine Aquatic Science
Educating youth, their families and the general public about natural resources, water quality and environmental stewardship. Engaging students in marine and aquatic education activities that correlate directly to Virginia's Standards of Learning.
Conducting activities designed to aid in personal growth and character development, build self-confidence and self-esteem, develop leadership skills, foster academic achievement and to teach youth how to make responsible decisions while avoiding risky behaviors.
Exposing kids 5 to 18 to the functions of the federal and state governments, community service learning and youth entrepreneurship to help them become productive, contributing citizens.
