April Payne graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in dietetics and a Master of Sciences in Education with a concentration in Health Promotion. She has been with Cooperative Extension for seven years. She is a Lifestyle Coach with the DPP and began leading the DPP last year on Zoom due to the pandemic.
April is an active person, loves the outdoors and personal fitness. She has a deep passion in nutrition education, while simultaneously fighting a strong sweet tooth! She is excited about continuing her work in disease prevention with the DPP and helping people get support in making lifestyle changes that fit their family, work, and personal situation.
