Small Ruminant Guardian Animals:Choosing a Good Protector

Thursday, May 14, 2026 • 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Virtual Microsoft Teams Meeting

The American Sheep Industry notes that predation is the leading cause of death in American sheep flocks. By using livestock guardian animals, you can give your flock/herd 24-hour, around the clock bodyguards, and allow the animals to stay out grazing on the farm.

Effective guardians prevent injuries and deaths of your sheep and goats and give you - the farmer- peace of mind.

Join us for a producer discussion about:

● Guardian dogs, donkeys and llamas

● Why not all guardian animals are effective

● How to increase your chances of getting a good protector instead of another problem.
