Summer Season Growing In High Tunnels: Improving Quality, Yield, and Profit

Thursday, June 11, 2026 • 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Hybrid Course - Held Virtually and at Coalfield Agricultural Center

449 Agricultural Drive Clintwood, VA, 24228

The summer season in Virginia and across the Middle Atlantic region can bring significant growing challenges with many fluctuating weather extremes (heat, drought, wetness, and coolness in the mountains). Please join Virginia State University horticulture specialist and high tunnel expert Dr. Sanjun Gu for a wonderful presentation about how high tunnels can help you better manage summer season growing conditions. By controlling heat, light, and water a high tunnel can help improve your quality, yield, and profit.
