This workshop focuses on tree planting and reducing heat in our communities. Participants will learn how trees help cool down areas, especially in cities that get really hot. Activities include measuring temperatures to see how shade works, using maps to find areas that get too warm, and checking tree coverage in neighborhoods. During group discussions, participants will generate ideas to increase shade in their neighborhoods. This workshop helps people take action to make their communities safer and healthier.
