Herd Health & Forage Improvement for Animal Production

Wednesday, May 13, 2026 • 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

2748 Dogtown Road Goochland, VA, 23063

Now is the perfect time for animal producers to discover how to improve soil health, which improves forage health and quality and therefore improves herd health. Growers will learn how to produce optional/alternative forages during times of stress or drought, and improve on weight gains producing a higher quality meat and therefore increase profits. We will discuss methods that enable growers to have pastures grazed more efficiently and also discuss the nutrient needs of different forage species.
