Increasing Soil Health with Cover Crops
Friday, October 9, 2026 • 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
16299 Savagetown Road Painter, Virginia, 23420
In this field demonstration, farmers will learn how to incorporate cover crops on
their farm. Participants will learn how to begin the Spiral of Soil Health by creating
healthy soil that helps plants take up nutrients, supports maximum growth, helps
withstand or resist drought, and retains topsoil by reducing erosion. We will show
how the use of cover crops sustains agricultural practices and our ability to
provide food for the future. Please join us to discover how six trial cover crops
may affect your farm’s soil health. A restroom will not be available.
