This educational workshop is free and open to the public.

Find out what you need to know about Basic Financial Record Keeping and Maintaining Your Financial Health in order to reduce financial risk and increase your peace mind – all designed to help you grow and sustain a successful farm business. 

Dr. Larry Connaster, financial management specialist with VSU Cooperative Extension will lead this workshop to help you understand: 

  • Basic principles of recording keeping 

  • What goes on a balance sheet 

  • How different transactions affect the balance sheet 

  • Basic principles of an Cash Flow Statement (income/expense statement) 

  • Liquidity 

  • How to calculate a debt-to-income ratio, and how it can help determine your “financial health”
