4-H ICONGRESS

Virtual Program

The i-Congress is a 3 week virtual program held by Virginia 4-H: at Virginia State University that is designed to foster leadership skills in Middle School aged children. The highly acclaimed program features interactive activities that:

  • Expose youth to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Agriculture, and Math) subjects

  • Professional Speakers and Leadership Track

  • Virtual Hands on Experiences

  • Strengthen team-building and networking skills

  • Public Speaking Intermediate Contests

  • Allows them to experience what it’s like to be a college student and/or teen leader

  • Experience VA State 4-H Ambassadors & Closing Ceremonies

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH 4-H NOT REQUIRED. By participating in this summer program, youth will automatically be enrolled into the Virginia 4-H program free of charge. Additionally, i-Congress will enhance the ability of new, current and future 4-H youth to serve in local, district, state and national 4-H leadership roles. You must be 11-13 during the current 4-H year (October 1 through September 30), may attend the i-Congress as Delegates.  Current 4-H members, who are ages 16-18 with Teen Mentor training and leadership experience, may register to participate as Teen Counselors.

COST:

  • Delegates (ages 11-13) - $5.00, T-Shirt is an additional cost (Optional)
