USDA/DCR/NRCS/FSA/RMA Information Session - Hispanic

Information provided by personnel from USDA and the VA Department Conservation Resources agencies (Soil and Water Conservation Districts). This information session will highlight what these agency programs are and how they can benefit small and limited resource farmers, as well as beginning farmers.
Topics covered will be
soil and water conservation districts (DCR)
cost-share programs (DCR)
nutrient management plans for small farms (DCR)
high tunnel applications (NRCS)
FSA farm ownership and operating loans
Rural Development (RD) - Loans and Grants
Risk Management (RMA) - Crop Insurance
Other pertinent program information needed by Small Farmers to be successful.
The workshop information will be oriented towards Hispanic beginning farmers, but not exclusive. Spanish translation will be provided. SPACE IS LIMITED TO 15 PARTICIPANTS.
