Day 1: What, Why & How of Acreage Reporting (Virtual)

Are you ready to unlock your eligibility for USDA programs, crop insurance, and disaster assistance? Join us for an essential workshop that walks you through the what, why, and how of crop acreage reporting so that you will not miss out on the benefit of crop reporting neither miss critical deadlines. Learn how to complete the FSA-578 form, understand reporting deadlines by crop and county, and discover why your farm map is key to accurate reporting. This session will equip you with the knowledge to prevent loss of benefits and maximize your access to federal support programs. Whether you’re a beginning farmer or seasoned producer, this is a vital session to ensure your operation remains in compliance and eligible for future assistance. Producer of all localities are encouraged to attend Day 1.
Day 2: Farm Map Pickup & Reporting Prep
May 29 | In-Person
Using what you learned on Day 1, producers served by the Sussex Prince George Farm Service Agency can stop by the local FSA office to pick up your official farm map to begin your acreage reporting. Staff will distribute maps and provide assistance during the following times based on the operation name or farmer’s last name on file:
• 8–9 AM: A–F
• 10–11 AM: G–L
• 1–2 PM: M–S
• 2–3 PM: T–Z
Farmers outside the Sussex Prince George FSA are encouraged to contact their local office to obtain their farm map.
