January is a great time to learn about ways that aerial imagery can assist farmers in the upcoming growing season for early detection of disease and pests, to be able to determine plant health and to look for skips and overlaps in nutrient application, herbicide applications and planting. Imagery can also benefit other producers and herdsmen in scouting pastures to check on livestock.
