Join us for this valuable virtual session to learn more about forages and how LeeDer Farms uses them in their Katahdin sheep operation. Lee Holcomb, from LeeDer Farms, has nearly 20 years of professional experience visiting farms throughout North Carolina and advising livestock producers on forage management. He has worked for both Soil & Water Conservation Districts and USDA- Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in the Piedmont of North Carolina. Being a sheep producer himself, he has learned about management of both cool and warm season forages and the benefits they can add to your livestock operation. Topics will include implementation of Prescribed Grazing and temporary fencing solutions to allow for better forage utilization.
