Urban gardening is the practice of growing plants, fruits and vegetables in urban environments using spaces like balconies, rooftops, community plots and vacant lots. It encompasses a wide range of activities from small scale container gardening to large urban farms and offers benefits such as improved access to fresh food and environmental sustainability.
