Thursday, February 19, 2026 • 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Royal Roots Farm 2240 Butler Branch Road Petersburg, VA, 23805
This live demonstration walks participants through each step of ethical rabbit processing, from safe handling and dispatch to skinning, evisceration, sanitation, cooling, and packaging. The training emphasizes proper technique, food safety requirements, and efficiency for both home use and small-scale on-farm sales. Participants will observe professional methods, ask questions in real time, gain confidence, and engage in preparing rabbits in a respectful, efficient manner. This session is ideal for producers who want to build self-sufficiency, improve processing skills, or expand value-added opportunities within their livestock and homestead operations.
