From wicked winter storms to balmy days, spring can be a volatile season in the Virginia mountains. No two spring seasons are identical across this diverse landscape. This workshop will explore the March through May period used to characterize the climatology of this busy season on Virginia farms and landscapes. Using original research and official data, an overview of both long-term and short-term weather and climate trends will be discussed.
