Basic Soil Science for Farmers

Tuesday, April 14, 2026 • 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

150 Slayton Avenue Danville, VA, 24540

April is the perfect time to learn about all of the things that are in our soil that help sustain plant growth.  Soils are complex with different amounts and types of sand, silt and clay.  Not all soils have the potential to grow a healthy crop.  Attendees will learn about the chemical and biological makeup of the different soils and why they are sometimes a challenge.
