Youth deMONSTRATION FARM
What the Youth Demo Farm is
The Youth Demonstration Farm at Virginia State University is a hands on learning space where students explore agriculture through real farm experiences. It serves as a field trip destination, a site for youth programs and educator training, and a pathway that connects young people to the university and future opportunities in agriculture.
The Dig N2 Ag program works hand in hand with the Youth Demonstration Farm by bringing classroom lessons to life through hands on agricultural and environmental science activities. Students apply what they learn in school as they explore real production systems, investigate natural resources, and participate in interactive lessons on the farm. Together, the program and the farm create a powerful learning experience that connects academic concepts with real world agriculture.
