GRANT WRITING WORKSHOPS

Get tips on grant writing techniques and procedures that will help secure funding for your projects.

Laurette Tucker, USDA Rural Development Business Specialist, will speak on two particular grants:

USDA Rural Development Value Added Producer Grant

Value Added Producer Grants (VAPG) are for producers who want to add value to their commodities. If you are considering ways to generate new products, create and expand marketing opportunities and increase income, you may want to consider the VAPG. Beginning farmers or ranchers, socially-disadvantaged farmers or ranchers, small or medium-sized family farms and farmer or rancher cooperatives may receive priority.

Rural Energy for America Program Grant

The Rural Energy for America Program Grant is for businesses and ag producers who would like to decrease the high cost of energy on their business or farm. It provides guaranteed loan financing and grant funding to agricultural producers and rural small businesses to purchase or install renewable energy systems or make energy efficiency improvements.
