AGRIBUSINESS PRODUCTION AND FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT PROGRAM


The Agribusiness Production and Financial Management course presented by Virginia State University’s Small Farm Outreach Program is designed to: 

  • Meet the mandatory USDA/FSA financial and production management borrower training requirements.  
  • Assist in boosting farm profitability and income for farm families and local communities.    
  • Offer hands-on training to farmers and assist them in developing valuable skills in financial management and crop production.

Instructors include multidisciplinary staff from Virginia State University’s Colleges of Agriculture and Business, Virginia Cooperative Extension, Farm Credit officials and producers who have had success with our programs.

The program builds on strong partnerships with USDA agencies, local banks and industry collaborators to develop an innovative, culturally sensitive, level appropriate, and practical research-based curriculum.
