Food Safety Concerns for Aquaponics and Hydroponics Systems

Tuesday, September 1 • 10AM

Virtual Zoom Meeting

Consumers are concerned about the safety of the food they purchase. Congress enacted the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) to deal with this worry. Farmers that are growing food using aquaponics and hydroponics need to learn how FSMA impacts their operation. The program will cover FSMA regulation, a safety program for aquaponics, and current food safety research on small-scale aquaponics.
