Time commitment: Part time - Must be able to work a minimum of 10 hours per week during the active academic semester (except academic breaks/holidays) until internship hours are satisfied
Time Period: Spring Semester, 2018

The College of Agriculture Marketing & Communications Department is seeking a Video Production Intern. The Video Production Intern will shoot footage and assist in editing. This intern will assist in the bulk of the technical tasks related to production and post-production. He or she will transport, set up, and operate equipment; and assist with staging, set preparation and dressing. The Video Production Intern will work closely with the Videographer and Creative Director to execute the concept through to completion.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be eligible to receive academic internship credits for the Spring 2018 semester
- A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Have knowledge of DSLR cameras and other video production equipment
- Experience with video and photo editing
- Must know the basics of operating lighting equipment and sound
- Must have a basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or related software
- Ability work on tight deadlines in collaborative environments
- Positive attitude; must be willing to handle criticism
- Animation skills are a plus
- Interest in gardening, farming, animals, and science is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist Videographer/Photographer with deadline driven projects
- Set manage; including lighting, backgrounds, and sound
- Create promotional videos and photos for the VSU College of Agriculture that will be shown on websites and social media, including YouTube
- Work closely with other members of the creative department as needed
- Story boarding, filming, composition, post-production and final delivery of video
