Overview

The Agricultural Systems at VSU Extension help Virginia Small Farmers sustain the profitability of Agricultural Production, while protecting and enhancing the quality of farmland and water resources. Current outreach, demonstration and applied research programs focus on plant production systems in controlled environment agriculture (CEA), season extension with high tunnels, integrated pest management (IPM), specialty crops (vegetables, small fruits and cut flowers) production, and organic agriculture; and on animal productions systems in small ruminants, beef cattle, poultry, and aquaculture.
